About me
Hi I’m Tristan, but you can also call me Trizzle. In the summer of 2016, I took a roadtrip to northern Minessota and Canada on the trip of a lifetime canoeing through the Boundary Waters Wilderness. This is the trip that got me hooked on everything outdoors, and I’ve made this blog so you can follow along with me on my adventures through photos, articles, and more.
I love hiking, backpacking, and skiing. Ocassionaly I dabble in some canoeing and spelunking as well. I’m currently studying Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science at George Mason University. I try to get out in the wild and do a backpacking trip at least once a month, which can sometimes be quite a challenge.
Traveling is all about time management; if you make it a priority, you can find a way to do it. So while some friends are out at bars or chilling at home watching Netflix (which I definitely also enjoy), I try to get outside to explore new places.
Living in the Washington D.C. area has opened up a plethora of exciting places to explore and I love that I can call it home. From city exploring in D.C. or Alexandria, to backpacking the Appalachian trails and white water rafting in West Virginia, there’s something for everyone around here.
I’ve created Trizzle Travels not only as a place where I can share my adventures through articles and photo essays, but also as a place where I can share my photography. I started getting into photography around the same time as I got into backpacking and I always have my Sony A6000 and GoPro Hero 4 Black with me when I’m out traveling.
Music is also a huge part of my life. In October of 2016, I released my debut EP, ‘Swipe’, on iTunes and Spotify. I’m currently finishing my first full length album which is set to release later in 2017.
